BEING THE CHRISTIAN YOU HAVE BECOME

BEING THE CHRISTIAN YOU HAVE BECOME

Have you ever tried to get hold of a piece of soap in the bath? presently it in your hand, than it has slipped from your grasp and is gone again and again. This is the introduction of this chapter. What is the connection between soap in the bath and Christian life? So there is the exhilaration of a fresh experience of God but no sooner dose it seem to be in their grasp than is has slipped away again, leaving behind only a memory and a feeling of hopelessness. We think that we can hold it we have it but at soon it will be gone again this is the explanation that we trying to hold it but why it always still gone again and again.

Charles Price said that when he become Christian God change of his attitude he have a new attitude to people a life in general, a new love in his heart for God and a new desire to please him but all of this thing it is the act of God who work in the life of Christian. In Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. It is clear no one cannot be change by it self only by God. Everything that God change our life the reason it not for us to do what we want to do but do God will to please God Himself.  Charles Price try many times to dedication himself to God, he cannot recall how many times he want to that process he try his best to do that. Like the elusive soap in the bath, he thought he had hold it, but it never lasted. The one thing that Charles Price thought that he having received certain things from Christ so that he able to become a Christian and for trying to live that Christian life. There were three things: a ticket this is the gift of eternal life one way journey to heaven, a certificate it had been written in blood in 1John1:7 his life was surely to be respond by living for Him and the last thing is a catalogue it was called the Bible and the Holy spirit who will help us. all of this three things he thought God was giving to him but he knew that it was not God was giving Himself to us though Jesus Christ and the holy spirit who in him so that he can live the life for Jesus. We cannot do anything to serve God because God have his own standard to serve him so Charles Price gave two person that is Abraham and Moses God called two of them to do God will but first they are put they own efforts to do the will of God but God does not recognize that, God is the only one who do through them we cannot be found in who they were, but in who God was. Paul wrote, He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 for He called us to a task not that we might do it for him, but that we might become the means through which he does it.
